Stoddard Management Company uses a common-sense, global approach to wealth management and financial planning for families and individuals. The goal is to create an investment portfolio with a high degree of probability that it will achieve the client's long-term objectives with as little risk as possible. A portfolio is composed of all of the individual's or family's accounts, both taxable accounts and tax-deferred retirement accounts. Deficiencies in one account (such as the lack of diverse investment options in a 401k account) are compensated for in another account. In this way, all accounts are coordinated so that the entire portfolio is aimed at meeting the client's objectives. Once the portfolio is constructed it is monitored and, over time, adjusted to reflect changes in the client's objectives, changes in the markets and changes within the securities used to fund the accounts.
At the same time initial investment recommendations are implemented, estate planning, retirement planning, taxes, insurance and education funding issues are addressed. Initial recommendations regarding these issues are made. Over time these issues are reviewed in the light of changing laws and changing client requirements and adjustments are made as necessary.
